Richard’s independent research career commenced in 2008 when he finished his PhD and became assistant professor of human nutrition at Kansas State University. Since then he has begun to establish himself as an emerging researcher in the field of children’s health promotion, and particularly intervention work aimed at obesity prevention through healthful eating and physical activity. In 2010, Richard accepted a position as Lecturer and Research Fellow at the University of Western Sydney, but has now returned to his position as assistant professor at Kansas State University. In the past three years, Dr. Rosenkranz has been an investigator on three extramurally funded grants valued at over $250,000AUD.  He is currently a member of the Australasian Child and Adolescent Obesity Research Network, International Society of Behavioral Nutrition & Physical Activity, and American College of Sports Medicine.
