Experimental researcher with a consistent line of research examining race in the news, Record of publications and presentations investigate television news. Currently revising articles on local television news history and the impact of race in televised suspect descriptions. Developing experiment that examines how broadcast news impacts viewer prejudice.
Entered academia with six years experience in the broadcast news industry. Currently teaches classes in television news, studio production, and video field production. Wants to use three years of full-time teaching experience in academia to teach a broader range of courses, particularly classes linked to her research agenda.
